Born and raised in Foley, Alabama, Mel Gipson, aka Liquid Prodigy, moved to Tampa, Florida in 2000. Almost immediately the high-energy clubs in the bay area caught his interest. It was during this period when he witnessed some amazing dancers and performances and instantly fell in love and from this fascination grew a flame within Mel to perform like no other; to step outside the ranges of the normal and become Liquid Prodigy.

With a background in Electrical Engineering, he uses his creative ingenuity to create not only fluid moves on the dance floor but also his own concoctions of pure bliss. With fire blazing, lights flaring and music blaring this magician of poi and electricity has crafted his art to hypnotize the crowd on whatever stage he performs on.
